Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to get their PSL title hopes up and running again when they host Lamontville Golden Arrows in Orkney at the weekend, The Amakhosi will get the opportunity to do so three hours earlier than they had expected. The match, which was originally scheduled to kick off in Orkney a town well known for its mineral riches at 19h00, instead the match will now begin at 15h45 at the Oppenheimer Stadium.



With tickets for the game originally going on sale a week ago a number of fans had snapped up tickets with the originally scheduled time of 19h00 printed on them, fans are reminded that the kick off time has officially been brought forward to 15h45. Mark Till Commercial properties manager for Anglogold Ashanti, who own the Oppenheimer Stadium, explains the reasoning behind the game being changed from an evening start to and afternoon start.



“We regret to advise Chiefs that the lighting requirements at the stadium are being upgraded, and therefore for the safety of spectators, players and officials we recommended that the game be played during the day time” said Till.

He further added “The Oppenheimer Stadium remains available to welcome PSL matches, and we will continue with our maintenance work to ensure that the stadium be upgraded to accommodate night matches”.



Tickets for Saturday’s game are presently available around the country at Shoprite – Checkers stores and in addition fans can purchase tickets at Computicket outlets through out South Africa.
