Chiefs, Ajax clash moved, again

Kaizer Chiefs Premiership fixture against Ajax Cape Town has once again been moved, and will now be played on Thursday, August 25, Amakhosi revealed on Monday.

The match was initially scheduled for Wednesday, August 17 at Soccer City but was postponed Wednesday, August 24 at the same venue because “August 17 is Fifa date for international friendlies and Bafana Bafana have selected players from Kaizer Chiefs to play in Iceland”.

According to Chiefs, the reason for the postponement this time around is due to Ajax’s involvement in the Caf Champions League.

The Urban Warriors will be away to defending champions Enyimba of Nigeria on Sunday, August 21 and hence the league felt is was “only appropriate to give the side enough time to rest when they return back home”.
