Chat board taken off website

The club has received many queries regarding the removal of the chat board from the website on the weekend.

Over the past two months the chat board has come under scrutiny from the club's management, after many people accessing the chat board were not being responsible.

As this is the 21st century chat boards are an important tool for effective communication if used responsibly.

Many of those accessing the site were saying things unrelated to Kaizer Chiefs or soccer, which was particularly damaging to the good nature of the club.

Many statements posted on the site could be deemed as racist, abusive to women and to various religious denominations as well.

The club does appreciate constructive criticism but it was felt that certain individuals do not understand how to use this medium responsibly.

The club will welcome any suggestions - to finding a solution and setting up a more effective medium whereby supporters can openly discuss with each other issues relating to Kaizer Chiefs and football – the beautiful game.

For now - the decision is that there are those who abuse the forum so until a solution is found - the chat board is closed indefinitely.

Supporters may send their suggestions to me at the following e-mail yusuf@kaizerchiefs.com
