The Amakhosi had won three in a row and were favorites to return back to Naturena on the night they were launching the 40th anniversary jersey. Celtic though who played with ten men for most part of the game put a gallant fight holding the Amakhosi to a third draw this season.

“We created enough chances to win the game but things did not go our way,” said Vermezovic after the game.

“I think Bloemfontein Celtic should be credited for putting a good fight in this game. They played for a long time with ten men but we could not take advantage of the situation. I think once again the boys gave their best and we just have to keep our heads up and focus on our next game,” he said.

He defended his players on not taking the advantage after Mothlaping was sent off in the 15th minute of the game leaving Celtic with 10 men for better part of the game.

“There is no doubt that we were a better side and put them under lot of pressure but we could not convert the chances we created. It was also evident that Celtic used ultra defensive mechanisms that made it difficult for us to break through. I have no reason to doubt the ability of my players and together we going to continue fighting…we now have a tough game against Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday, this game is history,” the Serbian told kaizerchiefs.com.

He also put an end to speculation that the team is going to sign a player before the transfer window closes on Tuesday, 15 December 2009.

“We have a squad of 28 players and we will not be bringing any new faces at the Club. We keep rotating the players and you can expect more changes when we play Ajax Cape Town,” he added.
