“I was playing for the Ramblers and we got to play against Orlando Pirates. We beat them 3-1 and I was obviously behind that damage” recalled the Chairman, Mr. Kaizer Motaung as he spoke to Phumlani Msibi on Tuesday night.

“Chincha Guluva” as he was affectionately known during his playing days was invited by SuperSport in their show, Mzansi Legends featuring legends of the ‘Beautiful Game’

Guests in the show included Michael “Monkey Jive” Dhlamini, Ten Ten Ndzimande, son Bobby Motaung and daughter Jessica Motaung paid tribute to one of the icons of South African football. The Chairman spoke extensively about his playing days at Orlando High School, Atlanta Chiefs, and the ‘birth’ of what is now the biggest football establishment in the country, Kaizer Chiefs.

“He is a father to all of us” said Bobby Motaung currently serving at the Club as Football Manager.

“I am humbled by this...I did not know that people are noticing my little contribution to the game” said the emotional, stunned Chairman who was not aware of some of his teammates, was caught by surprise by the calibre of guest in the show who all paid tribute to him.
