Technical director of the Zambian Football Association, Kalusha Bwalya, paid the Kaizer Chiefs Village a visit for the first time on Tuesday, and was very impressed with the facility and the infrastructure offered to the players.

Thereafter the chairman, Mr. Kaizer Motaung and the Kaizer Chiefs management hosted Bwalya, who is the former African Footballer of the Year and the South African 2010 World Cup Bid ambassador, and Emy Casaletti, now at Sail Group, for lunch in the players lounge.

"Its an honour for Chiefs to have received such an important visit from a African football legend," read a statement from the club, "We would to congratulate his team for winning the Cosafa Cup and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."

1963: Born August 16, 1963 in Mufulira, Zambia.

1979: Scores on league debut for Mufulira Blackpool, aged 16.

1980: Joins Mufulira Wanderers, Zambia's most popular club.

1983: Debut for Zambia. Scores in 3-0 World Cup win over Uganda.

1986: Becomes first Zambian player since the sixties to move overseas when Belgian club Cercle Bruges pay $25,000 for his signature. Makes first of six appearances in the African Nations Cup Finals, in Egypt.

1988: Leads Zambia to quarterfinals of Olympic Games tournament in South Korea and scores hat-trick in 4-0 romp over Italy to finish as competition's second top scorer (6) behind Brazil's Romario. Voted African Footballer of the Year.

1996: Top scorer (5) at Nations Cup final in South Africa where Zambia finish third.

1997: Switches to Club America's Mexico City rivals Necaxa.

1998: Joins Leon for Mexican summer season, then signs for Al Wahda, in United Arab Emirates. Captains Zambia at Nations Cup finals in Burkina Faso.

1999: Returns to Mexico and spends summer season with Irapuato in Second Division. Later signs with Vera Cruz.

2000: Scores in final appearance for Zambia at Nations Cup championship in Nigeria. Joins Correcaminos in Mexican Second Division.

2001: Announces retirement as a player and joins Mexican second division Potros Marte as assistant coach.
