Kaizer Chiefs striker, Tshepo Bulu has expressed his delight to be back in the field of play after spending close to six weeks in the sidelines. The Soweto born striker, made his come back in a win against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday.

Tshepo who has earned nickname, “Fowler” from his teammates did not waste time having come as a substitute as he nearly registered his name on the score sheet. Was he surprised to play on Wednesday?

“No” he said. “I was not surprised at all because the coach did indicate during team talk that he might use me in the second half but he wanted to check how things will go in the first half. I was ready when the coach asked me to join the guys” said Tshepo.

Having suffered an injury on his nose, Tshepo played with a protective mask to protect his sensitive nose, “I was okay playing with the mask as I have used it couple of times at training. It was different though during the match as I struggled to breath. I was excited though more than anything else to be able to play again.

I did not expect to come back so early...it would have been better if I had thanked the coach with a goal but these mistakes happen. I controlled that ball well with my chest but hurried my shot...I am going to get better as times go. I am learning everyday at training to finish better and position myself better to score goals” he added.
