Boca proceeded to the final after winning 5-3 on penalties:

Chiefs: Pule Matlhong (scores), Vuyani Nkosi (scores), Tebugo Ntuli (saved), Nkululeko Tshange (scores)



Kaizer Chiefs U17 journey in the Gauteng Future Champions Tournament came to an end after they lost 5-3 to Boca Juniors on penalties.



The young Chiefs had a bright start when Pule Matlhong found the back of the net as early as the 5th minute of the game. Chiefs put their opponents under a lot of pressure in the opening stages of the game and could have added one or two more goals.



It was Boca though who grabbed an equalizer through Pablo Pajurek. Chiefs’ defense failed to clear a corner kick allowing Pablo to fire from close range, 1-all.



Pule Matlhong could have grabbed a lead for the South African side but could not connect with the cross from “Shakes” Seanego who was having a storming first half.



Half time score was 1 - all.



Chiefs started the second half where they left off in the first half when scorer Pule Matlhong looking for his second in the game watched his shot going agonizingly wide of Joaquin Mattalia’s goals.



Boca with their backs on the walls most of the game came close grabbing the lead when Crispiano Rodriquez forced Sibusiso Mabaso to make a good save.



Full time score was 1 - all.

Boca Juniors proceeded to the finals of the tournament after winning 5-3 on penalties.



For the Kaizer Chiefs boys it was back to the drawing board as they prepare for 3rd and 4th place play off with Inter Milan, who lost 1-0 to Esperance, at 11:00 hrs on SATURDAY 30th March.
