The 18th of June rings birthday bells for the energetic Kaizer Chiefs Media Relations Officer, Luthando Zibeko. The Kaizer Chiefs Family would like to wish Luthando a happiest and fulfilling day on his birthday.

‘Trompies’ as Luthando is popularly known in the media circles, was born in the rural Tsomo village of the Eastern Cape in 1978.

He is a jersey number 78 of Kaizer Chiefs, and he had this to say about the jersey number 78 “It is an embodiment my year of birth, 1978, which I believe was very special to me. I always consider myself very fortunate to have been born in 1978 because I grew up and has always been surrounded by my peers (born in the same year), whom I shared common goals and ambitions about life in general, hence I always believe that the number 78 symbolizes my ambitious personality”

Trompies also bragged about sharing a birthday with former statesman, Mr. Thabo Mbeki. ‘He is special to South Africans and a rare breed to find, everyone should be happy of sharing a birthday with a man of his calibre” he said with a smile
