Kaizer Chiefs hardworking defender, Onismor Bhasera has revealed to kaizerchiefs.com his birthday wish for 2009. The hard running Zimbabwean is celebrating his birthday today, 07 January having been born on the same date in 1986 in a place called Mutare in Zimbabwe.



Onismor Bhasera is aware that he is not the only one celebrating his birthday today that even a giant called Kaizer Chiefs turned 39 today.



“Yes, of course I am aware that I am sharing my birthday with Kaizer Chiefs,” he said with a smile.



On his birthday wish, the player told kaizerchiefs.com his wish is to win the Absa Premiership title with Kaizer Chiefs this season, “This is a wish not only for me but for everyone in the squad. We are talking about it as players and we know it is possible. We need to rectify the mistakes we committed in the first half of the season,”



The Glamour Boys travel to Johannesburg Stadium on Sunday, 11 January 2009 for a potential thrill-a-minute encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns. There is still a long way before the Absa Premiership title’s route is decided but the game can do a lot in lifting either side’s title aspirations this season.



“Basler” as Onismor Bhasera is affectionately known agreed, “It is very important for us to start well and that means beating Sundowns on Sunday. The pressure is on; we know that we have to give our supporters something to cheer about in the New Year and of course the Club’s birthday. Hopefully we will be on the winning side come Sunday,” he concluded by wishing the Club a Happy 39th Birthday.
