Goalkeeper Coach Rainer Dinkelacker has told kaizerchiefs.com that if he had had an opportunity to work with Arthur Bartman in his first stint at Kaizer Chiefs back in 1998/1999 season he should have been one of the best goalkeepers in South Africa and should have played for Bafana Bafana.

Bartman who has put his hand up as one of the best goalkeepers in the league since signing for the Glamour Boys back in August last year has been in astonishing form for the Club and played a massive role in Telkom Knockout victory.

“It all started at training, how you train is how you play,” said the experienced Dinkelacker responding to a question on how he managed to get the best out of the 37 year old goalkeeper.

“It is important that goalkeepers train well and Arthur Bartman was professional from day one. He did not only listen to my advices but also pushed himself very hard. He told me the other day that if he had worked with me earlier in his career he should have played for Bafana Bafana and I agree with him,” said Dinkelacker.

Meanwhile, the hard working goalkeeper coach also offered words of support to his former protégée, Emille Baron who is reported ‘out of the Fifa World Cup 2010 due to shoulder injury’, “I called Emille (Baron) after a week having arrived from Brazil. He is a top goalkeeper and the injury could not have come at worst time for him ahead of the World Cup. I have told him to be strong and I have no doubt that he is going to bounce back from the latest development,” added Rainer Dinkelacker.
