Baron steps into pain

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Emile Baron, who has recently been in prolific form for the Amakhosi, has found himself stepping into some discomfort. The Chiefs net minder has been suffering from an abductis strain, which was looked at on Tuesday morning by club medical staff member Louis Morgan.

Morgan offered the following explanation for Baron's discomfort. "He has pain which starts in the groin region and than shoots down through the thigh region on his right leg and continues down to the calf and into his ankles.

"The best possible explanation is that when Emile kicks the ball he uses the instep of his foot and not so much the out side like Rowen Fernandez does, basically he over used the inside muscles of his thigh and calf which is causing him to be in the pain."

According to the medical diagnosis Emile for now is not expected to miss any training sessions or matches but will be made to do upper body exercises and refrain from doing much kicking for the next couple of days.
