Lucky “Sheriff” Baloyi has expressed his delight to be back with Amakhosi after spending 6 months with Soweto Panthers in the Vodacom League.

The 19-year old U20 and U23 international was recalled by Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic following a release of defender, Thabang Rooi who has been loaned out to Mpumalanga Black Aces.

“It has been good and all the guys have been very supportive since rejoining the team second week of January. It was not going to be a problem for me to settle as I was with the team for the preseason and I trained with them towards the end of last season,” said Baloyi speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after a gruelling session at Club’s HQ in Naturena.

Baloyi said that he learnt a lot during his time at Panthers, “The Vodacom League is very tough as compared to what I was used to during my time at the Development. There are also experienced players who played in the Premier League,”

“I am now looking forward to working hard and grabbing an opportunity anytime the coach feels I am ready to do the job. I am learning a lot from other senior defenders in the team who are always willing to offer advice,” added Baloyi.
