Kaizer Chiefs were back at training on Wednesday after taking Monday and Tuesday off. However, the Glamour Boys, training under the watchful eye of assistant coach, Fani Madida had to do without nine players thanks to the FIFA date this weekend.



Goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune and midfielder, Siphiwe Tshabalala joined Bafana Bafana camp on Sunday afternoon ahead of the crucial 2010 African Nations Cup/World Cup qualifier against hoodoo team, Nigeria. Bafana Bafana is yet to beat Nigeria in an official game.



Bafana Bafana not only need a win against Super Eagles at EPRU stadium in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, but will rely heavily on the result between Equatorial Guinea and Sierra Leone to stand any chance of qualifying for the showpiece in Angola.



Meanwhile Tinashe Nengomasha who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday joined up with Zimbabwean national team together with his compatriot, Onismor Bhasera as they host unpredictable Guinea in Harare.



However the Zimbabwean national team medical department will assess the Kaizer Chiefs left back, after he missed out on the opening league game of the season due to concussion suffered during the 2nd leg MTN8 Wafa Wafa Semi final against Swallows.



Jose Torrealba is currently serving suspension will be hoping for much needed game time when Venezuela take on Paraguay in a crucial World Cup qualifier.



Ghanaian born defender, Jonathan Quartey who made an impressive debut for his country in a friendly against Tanzania last month was recalled by coach, “Milo” for the qualifying game against Libya in Tripoli while Valery Nahayo linked up with Burundian national team for the game against Seychelles in Victoria.



Youngsters, Thela Ngobeni, Lawrence Molekwane and development player Bongane Sondlane linked up with South African U20 national team for the friendly match against Seychelles.



Kaizer Chiefs will be back in action away in Durban at ABSA stadium against newly promoted Maritzburg United on Saturday 13 September 2008 at 1500hrs.
