FNB Stadium played host to the Soweto Derby this weekend. The Kaizer Chiefs glamour boys proved to all that they are still the best team in South Africa. In the days curtain raisers match, the Orlando Pirates Masters defeated the Kaizer Chiefs legends by two goals to one. Man of the match Botsotso Makhanya won R1000 for a charity of his choice, while Shakes Kungwane also won R1000 for the most skilful player.

The Kaizer Chiefs supporters fun bus competition was very successful. The winners from the bus were randomly chosen to take part in the field competition “Vodacom Money of the Box”, which took place during half time. Shimani Mangwani walked away with R20 000 out of the five winners. Lwazi Peter, Zikhali Noto, Zolile Nuhutha and Prudence Sibasa were the four runners up who each won a R2500 cash prize. The winners got first class treatment in the bus, which travelled, in and around Soweto. They were then escorted and seated where Kaizer Chiefs had block booked for them to enjoy the game.

With all the entertainment that was planned for the day, the celebrations started early. The MC- Jeffery Mguni kept the crowd going while Kelly, Mandoza, Chippa and Mzambiya performed their kwaito hits. Jessica Motaung the marketing manager of Kaizer Chiefs would like to congratulate the winners and all that were involved to make this day a success.

Amakhosi launched their new act, The Kaizer Chiefs Cheerleaders who cheered the boys on. The Drum Tribe and Basadi ba Meropa were also a successful act and complemented the whole days plan of events.

Two goals to nil was the score that proved Kaizer Chiefs victorious over Orlando Pirates.
