An open letter to Kick Off
An open letter to Kick Off

Dear Editor,

I must really express my disgust at the manner in which you conduct your business. I find it repulsive that you can stir so much consternation between Orlando Pirates and us by publishing such blatant lies around Mr Jimmy Tau by alleging that he has signed for us.

This behaviour confirms my innate suspicion that the business of media and yours in particular is often motivated by profit that is generated through sensational untruths, distortions and lies.

I am disturbed by the relentless manner in which you pursue the so-called scoops and publish them with a grotesque blindness of their impact on those implicated and hounded.

If this is the nature of your business, I shudder to imagine if you can savour its profit after amassing them through this unprofessional and unethical conduct displayed.

For the record, Kaizer Chiefs has not expressed any interest in acquiring the services of Mr. Tau.

Neither have we had any contract with him nor has he been to our offices (Naturena) as your article so declares.

If we had, we would have personally followed him through the right channels in recognition of our professional and ethical manner of conducting our business.

We would have done this on the recognition of the Fifa, Safa, and PSL's recommended processes that govern the movement of players from one team to the other and from one country to the other.

I must raise my concern particularly after one of your subordinates has hounded my PRO Office to seek clarity on the matter.

This was duly done after a lengthy telephonic conversation to put the matter into perspective yet the lies received your blessings to grace your website.

I view this as a true fabrication and a presentation of lies that are disguised as “news” by your crooked journalistic standards.

I take serious offence to such misrepresentation and may warn you of its consequences should the matter strain the cordial relationship we are currently enjoying with Orlando Pirates.

Khosi 4 Life!
