Naturena, Johannesburg:- League champions Kaizer Chiefs welcome Malagasy champions USJF Ravinala in the second round second leg Champions League clash on Saturday, 19th March 2005 at the Olympia Park stadium in Rustenburg at 20H15.

The hosts are carrying a 1-0 away goal advantage from the first leg played two weeks ago in Antananarivo, at a packed Stade de Mahamasina (stadium), thanks to the club’s prolific striker Collins Mbesuma.

If there is one thing the islanders won’t expect much from the wounded Amakhosi following their second round exit from the ABSA Cup at the hands of Wits University over the past weekend; it is favours. The Naturena outfit will be blowing hot to ensure their visitors don’t upset them in front of their own supporters and end up experiencing what could be viewed by their visitors as ‘sweet revenge’.

Amakhosi Communications Manager Putco Mafani says they are ready for their visitors, “We are ready for them and will give them a South African hospitality and treatment, but at the tail end of that we must wipe them out of the Champions League, as we carry not only our supporters’ aspirations but those of South Africans at large”, said an enthusiastic Mafani.

“We did well in Madagascar under trying conditions and we have to intensify our mental readiness for the battle on Saturday,” he said.

The visitors arrive in South Africa on Thursday, 17th March 2005 at 07H20 at the Johannesburg International airport, and will be booked at the Milpark Holiday Inn Garden court, and train at the Rand stadium at 15H00 the same day.

They will then move to Rustenburg on Friday, 18th March 2005 and be stationed at the Sundowner Hotel, in order to finalize their preparations at the Olympia Park stadium in Rustenburg at 20H15.

As part of the feast, entertainment has been lined up involving North West Province local artists such as Bafixile and Gaza Traditional dancers, to mention but a few. Lucky spectators will win hampers with the compliments of Kaizer Chiefs and its sponsors.

Gates will open at 3pm and tickets are already selling at the Computicket outlets for R20 adults and R10 juveniles, and there will be an additional R10 ticket for the grand stand, sold at the stadium on Saturday for those who will prefer the grand stand seating.
