Chiefs were drawn to face Leopards in the first game of the day while Dynamos will do battle with Mozambican outfit Costa Do Sol in the second game of the day which will begin at 12h00, with the two winners meeting in the final at 17h00. In between the crowd will be entertained by a host of artists both from the Limpopo Province and elsewhere.
Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has been pleased with his teams preparations for next weekend’s event after Amakhosi’s first week back at training “playing these matches two weeks into our pre season training is good because we will have the opportunity to test our match preparedness, we will possibly give all our players a run out during the tournament.
We are confident that we can make it to the final as we would prefer to play two games instead of one” said a truly happy and confident looking Ernst Middendorp after another energy sapping training session on Friday morning.
An added incentive for the participating clubs is that the organizers have laid on a cash prize of R200 000 for the winning team while the team coming second will receive a R100 000.
Tickets for the event go on sale on the 3rd of July at Shoprite and Computicket Outlets in the Limpopo Province and are priced at R20 for Adults and R10 Children.
