Kaizer Chiefs were awarded the Platinum Award at this year’s Rand Show for the most overall attractive interactive stand at the Exhibitor’s Awards ceremony on Wednesday night beating the likes of the SABC and Telkom.

The Platinum Award is the highest honour of its kind for the most interactive stand in the entire Show.

This saw the team walking away with two awards from this year’s event after they were awarded with the Gold Award for the third time in a row since their participation at the annual Rand Easter Show.

"We had a very intense schedule offering visitors and show-goers an artist performing live everyday," says brand manager Vivian Casaletti. “We also had regular appearances by first team players and exciting giveaways.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who worked tirelessly at our stand to make it such a success. The players and technical staff were very accommodating as they took time off their hectic schedule to interact with the supporters.

"I must also thank the sponsors - Vodacom, Standard Bank, Hollard and ZOK - for their support and participation. Their presence really made our stand even more appealing and attractive to the visitors while at the same time providing information to the public about their brands," Casaletti says.

The Kaizer Chiefs stand offered visitors a chance to win great prizes with lucky winners walking away with cell phones and airtime on a daily basis courtesy of ZOK and Vodacom. All you have to do to win this state-of-the-art cell phone is to play and win a table soccer match.

On Saturday, April 2, there will be a draw for the overall winner of the table soccer competition. To be eligible you must have won a prize in this category during the 2005 Rand Easter Show. The winner walks away with a big projector television.

In addition, the Kaizer Chiefs credit card will be giving away a 74cm rear-projector flat screen television plus a one-year subscription to DSTV. The draw for this amazing prize takes place on Sunday April 3.

"Once more a big thank you to all those who have made this such a success. There’s three more days to go and if you haven't won a prize yet, you still have a chance," says Casaletti.
