With the FIFA international window putting club football on hold for a fortnight, a few of Kaizer Chiefs’ injured stars are using the time off to concentrate on their rehabilitation in order to speed up their potential return to action.

Club physio, Dave Milner gave www.kaizerchiefs.com an update on some of the longer term cases.

It is good news for one very important component of the Nasreddine Nabi revolution, who will hopefully be ready when the league resumes.

“Gaston Sirino sustained an abductor muscle injury in the last match and he is improving nicely and we expect him to beck in full training within two weeks,” he said.

Milner then elaborated on the state of some of the longer term casualties.

“Another player progressing well is George Matlou. He has started running and doing some ball work and we are looking at a November return for him, “he added.

Of winger, Tebogo Potsane, who twisted an ankle three weeks ago, Milner said, “He went for a scan which showed some ligament damage, so we expect him to be out for around three weeks.”

A slightly later date is presumed for Amakhosi’s Mozambican defensive stalwart.

“Edmilson Dove is out of the protective boot and is doing some preliminary walking. We are confident he will be able to start running in November,” the experienced physio revealed, before concluding on a positive note regarding goalkeeper, Brandon Petersen, “Brandon had the pins removed from his finger and can start full training immediately.”

We wish all of our injured heroes speedy recoveries and look forward to seeing them in the Gold & Black soon.
