League defending champions Kaizer Chiefs have pledged 5% of the club's gate earnings from the coming Castle Premiership game against Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday, 15th Janury 2005 towards assisting the victims of the KwaZulu Natal floods disaster.

Certain areas of the province were recently heavily hit by the storms particularly places like the UMzinyathi District, UMgungundlovu, UMsunduzi, UMhlathuze, uThukela and others. The storm left numerous people homeless and some dead.

As part of the club's social responsibility programme the management has also decided to look at donating another 5% towards the fund that will assist homeless victims of the Tsunami disaster.

This fund is administered through the Red Cross in South Africa and platforms such as SABC TV show Morning Live have been calling on prominent people and organisations to make their pledges known.

Instead of participating in a live TV show Amakhosi chairman Kaizer Motaung and his management team have prefered taking the route of calling supporters to come in their numbers to the game and subsequently be part of the Kaizer Chiefs donation to these charity causes.

Chiefs take on highly spirited Celtic at the FNB stadium at 19H30 on Saturday in a league game. R20 Tickets for adults and R10 tickets for the juveniles, are already available at all computicket outlets.
