Kaizer Chiefs Management has today paid homage at the late Maepa’s home in Little Falls, Johannesburg, to among other things synergise preparations between the Amakhosi and the Maepa families, prior to the memorial and funeral services, which will be held later this week.

The delegation comprised of Mr. Bobby Motaung, Football Manager, Mr. Thami Myaluza Head of Security and Logistics, Mr. Cecil Motaung, Supporters Relations Manager, Siyabulela Makunga, Public Relations Manager and Mr. Richard Langa, Logistics. The delegation was warmly received by the Maepas and the two families unanimously agreed on the following:

DIRECTIONS TO THE FUNERAL FROM JOHANNESBURG

• Take N12 freeway to Emalahleni or Witbank


• This joins up with and becomes N4 Freeway to Nelspruit

FROM PRETORIA

• Take N4 freeway to Emalahleni or Witbank or Nelspruit


(the info below is applicable when travelling from both JHB & PTA)

• After the Shell Ultra City, take the next off ramp into Middelburg

• At the off ramp junction turn left to Middelburg AND NOT RIGHT OVER THE FREE WAY BRIDGE

• Drive straight until you get a 4-way stop and then turn right to Middelburg

• Carry on straight until you see a Shell Garage on your right and a BP Garage on your left in Middelburg

• Then turn right immediately

• Drive straight and pass a KFC outlet on your right and further on a KFC outlet on your left

• Take the next turn to your left in the direction of Stoffberg (you will see a sign board)

• Drive Straight for about 60 kms, to go through a steep mountain decline, and thereafter lookout for a T-Junction (WARNING! the T-JUNCTION IS NOT VISIBLE!)

• Turn right at the T-Junction (as you turn you will see a fruit and vegetable market on your left, depending on the time)

• This route will show directions of Rossenekal and/or Steelpoort)

• Drive until you get to Steelpoort (about 95kms)

• At the next T-Junction (where you have to stop ), turn left to Polokwane or Pietersburg;

• Drive Straight until you go pass what purports to be a tunnel without a roof;

• Drive slowly to go pass the first turn to right (gravel road). On your right there is a Brick making factory

• Turn right (onto the gravel road) at the next available road. This must be before you go pass a Total Garage on your left and before you cross the bridge. Drive through on that gravel road for about 700 meters. You have now reached your destination

• IF you happen to go pass the Total garage on your left and/or bridge make a U-Turn and turn left at the next available road (gravel road). Drive through on that gravel road for about 700 meters. (Again, you are now at your destination)

• The trip will take you approximately 390kms
