Chiefs have drawn their fourth straight game and once again the Amakhosi can only rue their missed chances of which there were many in what was a tough game played in front of a packed Olympia Park.

Both teams started the game at a frantic pace in the hope of catching their opponents early on but to no avail.

The first half lacked real goal mouth action with the best chance coming off a Marawan Bantam free-kick superbly saved by Emile Baron.

The lack of goal scoring chances in the first half was made up in the second half thanks to the introduction of Thabo Mooki to the Chiefs midfield; Mooki added a spark and attacked with a vengeance.

Chiefs had the first real chance of the second half as David Obua saw his well-placed free-kick acrobatically saved by Roberts in the Santos goal.

As the half progressed Chiefs began to create the better chances with Ghanaian striker Louis Agyemang finding himself with a host of opportunities but none of that could be converted into goals.

On 78 minutes Agyemang was set through on goal and in a one-on-one situation the goal keeper triumphed as Louis was unable to beat him from inside the 5 yard box.

Four minutes later the unfortunate Agyemang picked up a lose ball from a Shoes Moshoeu free-kick he turned and shot but Roberts once again saved superbly.

Patrick Mayo found himself with acres of space inside the 5 yard box towards the end of the game but could not believe his misfortune as Roberts saved from point blank range. Then it was than Santos’ turn to stand and stare as Emile Baron acrobatically punched away a powerful Jason Lackay shot from inside the 18 yard area.

Ernst Middendorp has previously said that Chiefs need to work on their finishing inside the 5 yard box, a point he reiterated as he left the stadium shaking his head.
