Kaizer Chiefs held their fifth consecutive Executive Golf Day on Monday and their sixth since 2004, at the Bryanston Coutnry Club, in Bryanston North of Johannesburg, with a field of 108 participants.

Among whom were Amakhosi midfielder Josta Dladla, who displayed the same silky skills he does on the football field over 18 holes on the golf course.

Chiefs' Marketing Director Jessica Motaung had her golf game praised by her four ball partner, SABC commentator Dwayne Delloca, who said: “When we started we were told what handicap Jessica plays off and somewhere someone lied to us. She is way better than we thought and has improved as the day wore on.”

Delloca also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the day, of which he said: “It is nice for all the people involved with Kaizer Chiefs to get to spend the day on the golf course socialising and catching up. We were fortunate enough to have good weather and it was an enjoyable day out.”

Jessica Motaung was grateful to the sponsors for their contributions towards making the day a success and said: “The Kaizer Chiefs foundation and the various social projects who are beneficiaries of it, benefit from the proceeds of the Kaizer Chiefs Executive Golf Day.

"We thank our sponsors for their generosity as it will go a long towards helping make a difference socially and economically in the long term future of many people’s lives. Our foundation is an important way of us uplift the community and the Golf Day is one way in which we help fund these projects.”

As its sixth edition swings away, the Kaizer Chiefs Executive Golf Day looks set to be around for many more years. While Josta Dladla was the only member of Chiefs playing staff to participate in this year’s event, Jessica is hoping that will change in the future.

“Next year I would like to see more of the players playing. Hopefully they will take up golf in the course of the year and we can see some of them playing here in the 2012 Kaizer Chiefs Executive Golf Day.”
