In connection with Hollard and Amakhosi Magazine, Amakhosi fan Mbutho Sineke collected a cheque for R 40 000 for entering an SMS competition that ran in the October and November issues of Amakhosi, asking fans to send in their votes for their favourite Chiefs player of the last four decades.

Sineke, who hails from Umtata in the Eastern Cape, travelled up to Johannesburg and was given his prize by Amakhosi Executive Chairman Kaizer Motaung and the parents of the late Kaizer Chiefs legend Ace Ntsolengoe, who was voted as the best Chiefs player of the last 40 years by Amakhosi fans.

The Club's Executive Chairman Kaizer Motaung, congratulated Sineke on his winnings and said: “Congratulations for winning this magnificent prize. It is always good to win this amount of money early in the new year. Spend it wisely and also remember that you are now an ambassador for the Club and represent us in the best way possible.” The executive chairman, in the company of Ace Ntsolengoe’s parents, also paid tribute to the legendary midfielder for all of his contributions during his many years with Chiefs. Mr Motaung said it was fitting that a humble person like Ace was selected by Chiefs fans as their favourite player of the last four decades.

Hollard Thanks

Hollard and Kaizer Chiefs Financial Services spokesman, Thabo Gumbi, said that they, together with Amakhosi Magazine and Kaizer Chiefs, were happy to reward Sineke and pay homage to the legend that was Ace Ntsolengoe. Gumbi said: “We congratulate our winner, Mr Sineke, and believe that it is fitting to have the late Ace Ntsolengoe’s parents here today as we honour him as the best player of the last 40 years."
