Sunday, 9 December 2007 saw the launch of the new Amakhosi Supporters Club Membership cards and successful opening of the first Amakhosi Supporters Club Centre at Dlamini Sports Complex, Soweto. The Amakhosi Faithful attended in their numbers as they signed up for the lucrative and much sought after membership cards. The family atmosphere showcased by the organizers for those who attended, demonstrated the true value of the brand as small children, youth middle aged and elderly Supporters made their stamp as card carrying members.

The Launch at Dlamini Sports Complex was the first to take place for Amakhosi Supporters Club, and over the next 12 to 18 months other centres will be opened around the country for Supporters to purchase membership, official merchandise at discounted rates, and have access to their beloved Kaizer Chiefs brand! These centres will provide Supporters Club Branches and Memebers with a meeting point for travel to games, and place to occasionally watch games on a big screen. On the day, Gold, Silver, Youth and Kids membership sold well while other Supporters read up on the various benefits for the different tiers of membership. Kaizer Chiefs painted Dlamini Gold and Black as Supporters attended in their favorite colors as they shared in the story that is History, our History!

Amakhosi Supporters know when they attend a Kaizer Chiefs event that the best entertainment in the business will always be showcased., The Launch featured musical entertainment from Nhlanhla Nciza, Prokid, Brickz, Solly Moholo, and the Kaizer Chiefs Choir. The Kaizer Chiefs Legends, Captained by Sputla Mogale, defeated the Kaizer Chiefs Celebrity Team 3-2, and Legendary Players like Shakes Kungoane dazzled the crowd with play that has made him most popular as he shoe-shined and dribbled around Celebrity names like Tsepho Maseko, Zuluboy, Hawk Makepula and many others. The Kaizer Chiefs U15, Coached by Kaizer Chiefs Legend, Nstie Maphike, played a 1-0 win over the Dhlamini 11. Skydivers from Arial FX descended from the Soweto sky amidst yellow colored smoke as Soweto was treated to a truly golden experience on the day. MC’s Papi Moloi (YFM) and Meshack Mavuso also played their role and did well to invite Supporters to be a part of the experience as they kept the crowd informed and entertained.
