League Champions Kaizer Chiefs and two times gold award winners at the Rand Easter Show for the past two years are finalizing their preparations for this year’s exhibition show, which opens on Friday, 18th March 2005.

Amakhosi Marketing Manager Jessica Motaung says the club’s exhibition stand this time around will be bigger and better, ”We have put a lot of effort into making our stand the most attractive this year, particularly because there are more PSL clubs participating and we have to lead by example. Our promotional and business programmes will include the new Chiefs credit card, the Kaizer Chiefs Financial Services, ZOK (courtesy of Vodacom), the supporters’ club, the Amakhosi shop, the display of our most prestigious trophies and most importantly the appearances, at the stand, of the players, legends and celebrities of Kaizer Chiefs”.

Motaung said the Amakhosi Rand Easter Show’ staff has been working over time in anticipation of a more hectic entertainment and promotions schedule, largely targeting the youth and children. “Entertainment will include the likes of Stone, Bafixile, Bravo, Akasia, hip hop sensation Skwatta Kamp, songbird Lebo Mathosa, Thembinkosi, Mshoza, Msawawa and Mzambiya, African Child, the Amakhosi Male choir, Daddy, Zulu Mob, Genesis, Mr. Selwyn and many more. All these big stars are scheduled in such a way that every day there will be performances right up to the end of the show”, she said.

Plans are at an advanced stage to let the Chiefs stand visitors participate in entertainment and promotional activities like the popular dance competitions, fashion shows, ball control, Malingisa, Penalty shootouts, commentating of games and many more. At the Rand Show Main Arena show visitors will be treated to soccer talent identification and exhibition activities like the soccer clinics, conducted by the club legendary stars of yester years, including a 5-a-side soccer tournament that will mobilize other exhibitors.
