The Amakhosi will be renewing their ties with the Rand Show when they appear at the stand of the club's main sponsor on Saturday afternoon in hall number 5, when a number of the Kaizer Chiefs first team players will be at the Vodacom stand from 15h00 until around 17h00. The Chiefs players will be available to sign autographs as well as take pictures with fans during this time.

Chiefs relationship with the famous show which has been held in Johannesburg annually for almost fifty years, and which originally started out as an agricultural show goes back four years to 2003 when The Amakhosi first appeared at the show as exhibitors.

Chiefs then continued to make headlines and had one of the most visited stands at the show in 2004 and 2005. In all the while being exhibitors at the show, Chiefs collected silverware for their exhibitions, the most notable of all the awards picked up by Chiefs at the Rand Show came in 2005 when the Chiefs stand won the platinum award for being one of the most interactive stands at the Rand show.

Dara Carroll, Kaizer Chiefs brand manager believes that Chiefs' appearance on Saturday at the Rand show, will successfully tie in with the clubs strategy of interacting with their fans as regularly as possible.

“From our past experience we are aware of the fact that the Rand show provided many of our fans with the perfect opportunity to get to meet the players. We believe that our trip to the show will once again afford them the chance to interact with and take photographs with the players, we are thankful to our sponsors Vodacom who have made it possible for the players to make an appearance at the show on Saturday” added Carroll.

Amakhosi PRO Thebe Mohatle has also urged Chiefs fans and other soccer lovers to be at the Vodacom Stand in hall number 5 on Saturday afternoon, “the guys are looking forward to coming to the Rand Show at Nasrec as it gives them a chance to meet with fans, the players will also be handing out their much sought after collectors autograph cards to fans. So my message to all the Chiefs fans is to make a note to be at the Vodacom stand at 15h00 this Saturday, the players should be there for about two hours”.

In addition to the Chiefs team visiting the Vodacom Stand in hall five Kaizer Chiefs midfielder David Mathebula has been asked by the Limpopo Province Department of Tourism to make an appearance at their stand also located in Hall Number 5.

Mathebula born in Elim in the Limpopo Province is one of the most recognized sports personality out of the Limpopo Province in recent years, and will be used to drive tourists to the province.
