South Africa beat Honduras 2-0 on Saturday to advance in the Under-20 World Cup thanks to goals from Andile Jali and Sibusiso Khumalo, and set up a clash against African counterparts Ghana in the Last 16.

The South Africans needed a win to reach the knockout stage and

appeared determined to get it from the start of the Group F match,

piling pressure on the Honduran defense and goalkeeper Francisco

Reyes.

Jali scored with a powerful shot in the 31st minute and Khumalo

added the second in the 46th, striking a powerful left-footed shot

past Reyes.

Hungary beat the United Arab Emirates 2-0 in Group F's other game and also

progressed into the last 16.

Striker Krisztian Nemeth put Hungary ahead after just 19

minutes, and Vladimir Koman made it 2-0 four minutes later with a

curling shot into the top corner.

After losing their opening match to Honduras, Hungary have had

convincing wins against South Africa and now the UAE to top Group F

with six points.
