Kaizer Chiefs deployed a number of their players to various areas on the 01st of December 2006 in honour of World Aids Day. The club has lived up to its legacy and reputation by being involved in community based projects.

There’s no doubt that the club is ploughing back to the communities from which it enjoys unsurpassed support.

Players were divided and sent to various areas where they spent some time with various charity organisations and the smiles in the people’s faces were priceless.

The players were deployed as such:

1. SOWETO HOSPICE, Mofolo Central, SOWETO

Players; Jimmy Tau, Lucky Mzizi, Siyabonga Nkosi and Arthur Zwane

Time: 12:00

2. KATHA DAY CARE CENTRE, Katlehong, EKURHULENI

Players: Rowen Fernandez, David Mathebula, Simphiwe Mkhonza and Shaun Bartlett

Time: 12:00

3. VODACOM PARK, Midrand

Players; Louis Agyeman, Litheko Mototo, Emile Baron, Serge Djehoua, Cyril Nzama, David Obuoa, David Radebe, Gert

Schalkwyk, Gerald Sibeko, Ryan Wuest, Rotson Kilambe and Thabo Mooki

4. NIKE CONCEPT STORE, the Glen Shopping Centre

Our very own Papa’O was star struck when he saw his soccer idol, Scara Ngobese. Papa’O was working in Pretoria on the day yet he left everything & travelled all the way from Hatfield to the Glen mall south of Johannesburg so as to be with his idol!

I’d like to commend the Kaizer Chiefs management and its team for this heart warming move.

I leave you in the spirit of Football, Sharp sharp!
