Kaizer Chiefs are gearing up for the much anticipated encounter with arch-rivals, Orlando Pirates on Saturday at the FNB Stadium. The Club has lined up exciting activations to fuel supporters with energy ahead of the big match.
The Kaizer Chiefs Village will be the epicentre of match-day hype. For two days leading up to the match, the Village will be abuzz with activity.
On Friday and Saturday, fans will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Amakhosi spirit, with a range of exciting experiences. From ‘meet-and-greets’ with current and former players, as well as the technical team, and management, supporters will be treated like royalty.
There will also be a tour of the Village on Saturday between 09:00 and 10:30. Supporters are encouraged to book their places for the tour at the registration desk to get a glimpse into the iconic home of Kaizer Chiefs.
The Kaizer Chiefs Radio studio will be situated at the Youth Development side of the Village, and it will go live on air between 13:00 and 15:00 on the digital platform. Fans can visit the studio and engage with the team, while the KC Cafe will serve up delicious food and refreshing soft beverages to keep the energy levels high.
There will be plenty of entertainment, and, of course, no visit to the Village would be complete without a trip to the Kappa store, where fans can stock up on official merchandise. The Village will be open on Friday from 11:00 to 18:00, and on Saturday from 8:00 to 11:00, after which supporters will be directed to the stadium for the match.
On Friday, the Evaton Mall will also host an activation, powered by Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom, and supported by other sponsors, SuperSportBet and Kappa. The Evaton Mall will transform into a hub of activity. Fans will have the chance to purchase authentic merchandise from Kappa mobile store, win exciting prizes and giveaways, and even get their hands on KC mobile SIM cards.
Yet, the highlight of the event will undoubtedly be the engagement session with the players. The activation will kick off at 12:00 and run through to 17:00.
On match day, the excitement will reach fever pitch with a free pre-match concert at the stadium, featuring none other than music sensation Sol Phenduka, alongside Josiah De Disciple and a host of other musicians and DJs. The concert will start at 12:00, and fans with match tickets can enjoy the festivities free of charge. The beer garden, located on the south side of the stadium near the Promenade Bridge, will be the place to be, while the stage will be set up in the Amphitheatre area. With its unique blend of music, atmosphere, and anticipation, this concert promises to be an experience unlike any other.
