Acid test for Cyber Team
Acid test for Cyber Team

Posted in News on Nov 06, 2003.

The Kaizer Chiefs Cyber team will face its toughest test this weekend when it comes up against some of the top teams in the Supersport Corporate League.

The Kaizer Chiefs Acer Cyber Branch is well known for it's 'Beyond Expectations' rocking slogan, thereby living up it. Since it's official successful launch earlier this year in July, the Cyber Branch is continually increasing it's membership rate tremendously.

The recent acquisitions of registered members based beyond this borders in Swaziland stamped up the authority for being an International Branch. The recruitment drive will continue abroad and in the neighbouring states.

The Kaizer Chiefs Cyber Branch also has a soccer team well known as the Acer Cyber Team, solely sponsored by Acer, the leading brand in modern computing technology. The Cyber Team has been playing regular social games since the formation of the branch. These games aid in bringing the Cyber family together whilst recruiting new members at the very same time.

The Acer Cyber Team is growing big in such a way that we decided to register with Supersport Corporate Football League for the season of 2004.

The Cyber team will be competing against corporate teams such as BMW (led by for Kaizer Chiefs leading striker Fani Madida). With Acer on board, the team is convinced in excelling and eventually making history in terms of PSL teams' supporters branches.

The Acer Cyber Team will also be part of the Supersport Corporate Soccer Tournament scheduled to take place on Sunday 09 November 2003 at Megawatt Park in Sunninghill. This Supersport organized tournament will mark the end of the season for the Supersport Corporate Football League for 2003.

The tourney consists of 12 Corporate teams divided into two groups of six teams per group. Each team from each group will play at least five round robin games, each game will be played for 20 minutes, 10 minutes each half and there should be a winner, should the game end in a tie, then teams will go straight to penalties. A win will earn a team three points whilst a lose equals zero points.

Two top teams from each group will automatically qualify for the Semi-finals, a winner from Group A will play runner up from Group B in the first semi-final whilst a winner from Group B will play runner up from Group A in the second semi-final.

The Acer Cyber Team would cordially like to invite all the Amakhosi supporters and all the soccer loving people in general to show up at Megawatt Park on Sunday. It will be a fun filled day, more like a family outing.

Bring along your whole family with picnic baskets. Food and refreshments will be sold on the day while music will be entertaining all the patrons. Come one come all and enjoy Corporate soccer at its best.
